The islands are close enough to combine easily. The harder decision is whether your trip is better as 3+4, 4+3 — or one island only.

Let your arrival and departure connections decide. Avoid adding an unnecessary ferry just to follow a “perfect” order you saw online.
Let the hotels influence the split
If your favorite hotel is dramatically cheaper on one set of dates, moving a night can improve the trip without changing the route.
Don’t count the ferry as “just 30 minutes”
Port arrival, luggage, checkout and another check-in make the transfer a real part of the day, even on a short crossing.
